overrun by delinquent hispanics

As a member of a minority group myself, I was never prejudiced before moving here, but how can you not be in a city overrun by delinquents who thumb their noes at the law. We all know the demographic (low income hispanics and such). Over 3 years my car has been hit 3 times by them, and of course they are uninsured. They leave you with fake info and run off. Police won't do anything. Running plates probably won't make difference anyways since thats expired and linked to an old address. So really, these kinds scumbags have free run of this ghetto city with no worries about consequences. Let them have it and let it go to shit , I'm out as soon as I graduate.

Not the Houston I once knew

I used to love Houston...the skyline, the trees, the museums, restaurants, nightlife everything. I hadn't seen Houston in 5 years before I moved here and was shocked by the change in demographics. The city has been overrun by Katrina trash and some of the worst scum of Mexico and Central America. These people show up in the forms of the thugs and cholos that seem to infest the Galleria on weekends. Look closely and you'll see gang tattoos and vestiges of narco culture. I never saw these people before. All around I either hear Ebonics or Tex-Mex...dialects used by people too ignorant to either speak English or Spanish. Not surprisingly, Houston is filled with gangs, many with connections to drug cartels (which also work here). It is also one of America's major human trafficking hubs. I'm a combat veteran, am legally licensed to carry a concealed weapon and am always ready to kill anyone who acts as a serious threat. I've been here 4 months and will be moving in 1. I've seen enough.

I gotta list

I don't like the weather in Houston, I don't like the traffic, I don't like the gangs, the cops are dirty or worse - unresponsive, I don't like the ignorance of people who result to cussing you out because they can't hold an intelligent conversation, i don't like the school systems who think that "no tolerance" is a one-size fits all solution, I don't like having to pay a job boss every week to keep a job or he gives it to someone else, I don't like the "mexico" mentality where people think they have to be underhanded to survive, I don't like a lot of things but here I am until I can afford to get out of here and move somewhere with a better quality of life.

Houston is strange.

First of all, the people of Houston drive like idiots. I have been half way around the world and never have I seen the bazar driving habits that I experience in Houston. The most prominent thing is how people pull out of parking lots without stopping and barreling into traffic with no concern for their own safety or of the others that they are careening in front of. I have not had time to visit the center of the Houston but the area surrounding Houston where we are house hunting is very strange. There are no towns outside of the city. It is just one subdivision after another with the same 5 or 6 houses repeated over and over again. The people who are responsible for this are also responsible for the lack of any public transportation or the ability to even create one in the future. They have made a 10 mile journey take nearly 40 minutes. Due to their lack of foresight, people of the Houston area will be stuck with an infrastructure that will take decades to change to a more efficient m

Houston sucks for good looking guys

I have nothing to complain about houston great houses, cheap, big roads, BUT all the hot chicks here are taken and loyal leaving the fat ugly chicks to be stuck up and play with good looking guys, guys if you try, workout, take care of yourself, have some sort of dignity do NOT ever come to this shit hole like houston, EVERY club in houston is filled with stuck up girls shaking their ass for attention, do NOT, I repeat, houston should have sign on the arrival line saying, hot guys can NOT get equal level female in houston, I repeat, good guys have to try hard to get an ugly chick half their level, do NOT come to houston if your a good looking guy On the flip side, girls have it easy as fuck in houston, they don't have to try, they don't need to give up their pussy to have tons of guys throwing attention flowers, drinks at them. Bottom line Houston is where hot guys can't get hot chicks Ugly bbw chicks get emporio armani model guys without trying.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOORING

There is NOTHING to do here. I moved here 3 years ago and whenever I ask a native what they do for fun I hear crickets. Actually, one time this guy told me Houston was cool because there are "lots of car dealerships and furniture stores..." I live in the suburbs so a trip into town takes an hour IF there's no traffic and traffic ALWAYS sucks. You can't get anywhere without a car, the people are rude and classless, the only recognized form of entertainment involves copious amounts of alcohol (so you forget how bored you really are), the pool of available men is seriously shallow (the men are either married, gay or have one foot in the grave), it's too fucking hot, and I'm afraid to go anywhere alone cause I don't want to get raped or mugged in some gang initiation ritual. As a student, the only real benefit to living in Houston is that there are no distractions. I just go to school, get good grades and wait for the moment when I obtain my degree so I can get the fuck out of Houston.

HMMM??? Where do I start?

I am a Semi-Yankee that moved to Katy a city outside the Houston city limits. It was nice when I first moved here about 4 years ago. Where do I begin to start? 1. Traffic and drivers are the worst I have ever seen. 2. This place should be called Mexas. Too many ignorant Mexicans. 3. Terrible service everywhere you go. 4. Most EVERYONE is dishonest. 5. Lack of entertainment. 6. Do not feel safe. 7. Everything else out here costs extra. 8. Very ungrateful people. 9. Too many Yankees here. 10. Too many illegals. 11. Not child friendly. 12. Taxes are high 13. School systems suck unless you have money. 14. Police officers are lazy and ignorant. 15. Too many ghetto Katrina trash everywhere. 16. VERY HOT. 17. TOO MANY PEOPLE. 18. Cannot do anything without waiting for hours. 19. Roads are horrible and unfinished. 20. Flooding 21. Lack of respect from anyone. I could go forever. This place is dirty and the people are rude. STEER CLEAR......
—Guest South of the Mason Line Yankee

It's not that bad.

I might only be fifteen, and I "might not know what I'm talking about", but Houston really isn't that bad. I've lived in Hawaii, and I prefer Houston. You can go to Louisiana, and anywhere in Texas in just a couple of hours. The heat and humidity suck, and so does the traffic, but those are things you can't control, so there's no reason to complain about it. There are so many different things to do in Houston, and there are so many different cultures. To say we have a lot of colleges, but you have yet to meet a smart person, is either A) A lie. Because i know plenty of smart people in college. Book wise, and common sense. or B) You obviously associate with the wrong people. So there's no one to blame but yourself for talking to dumb people. Houstonians are straight forward, and if you did something to piss them off, you probably deserve "the finger". You can't expect the environment to adjust to you, you adapt to it. You shouldn't have moved here in the first place.
—Guest It's okay.

Texas cool

I could deal better with the pit that is Houston if the people here weren't so proud of it! It's pathetic how proud they are of so little. They keep telling each other how great Houston is until they actually believe it.

Fuckhouston

I have lived here for 25 yrs and cannot wait to leave! This place is disgusting in every sense. Sure the galleria area is nice but who wants to sit in traffic for hrs?? Although texas is considered conservative it disgusts me of the fact that they ( I dont claim it enough to say we) have a lesbian mayor! The heat sucks! The roads suck! No wonder we move to the burbs...the heights is over priced as is the galleria area. Houston harbors some of the most ignorant trash in the world. To hell with this shit hole. Man I cant wait to move to colorado. FUCK YOU HOUSTON (gross)
