Studies show it means more crime, overall less jobs and lower wages.
It's a shame that Walmart's customers are left to protect themselves not only in the parking lot but also in the store. The employees and security personnel at Walmart are there to protect the store and it's property, not the shoppers. Seriously, why would you give money to a business with that mentality?
