In 1997, the football Oilers, then residents of Houston for nearly 40-years, defected to Tennessee, taking with them the only pro football the franchise Houston had ever known. In 2002, however, the city was granted new gridiron Gods to worship: the Houston Texans.
Though the Texans remain the only team in the NFL to have never qualified for the playoffs, (how's that for a downer) they've still seen their fair share of stellar NFL talent. With respect to kicker Kris Brown, this is a list of the ten best Houston Texans of all time. And any list of the best Houston Texans of all time will undoubtedly begin with one name: Andre Johnson.
Lost in the Larry Fitzgerald-love around the Super Bowl was the fact that Andre Johnson is actually the best wide receiver in football. He can run every route and make every catch that Fitzgerald can, but he's also a fantastic downfield blocker and is not afraid of contact over the middle. He's the perfect combination of Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin, only with none of the ego.
