Without doubt, one of the most enjoyable aspects of Houston Rodeo is the Concert Series. Each year it draws some of music’s biggest names (not to mention hundreds of thousands of fans). Elvis Presley, George Straight, Reba McEntire, even Miley Cyrus(!) have all made time for the event. And as stacked as 2009’s line-up is – which features favorites The Jonas Brothers, Brooks & Dunn, and Taylor Swift to name a few – these ten shows are certain to reign supreme over the others. Brooks & Dunn* (and Reba McEntire**)
What’s left to say about Brooks, Dunn, or Reba? (Even though they perform separately, I had to add these two acts together as one seeing as how they are the only performers from this year’s line-up that are already enshrined in the HLSR Star Trail of Fame.) Combined, they’ve performed for more than one million Houston Rodeo visitors. Some might even say, this isn’t their first “rodeo.” (Sorry.)
