Description

Guide Review - Review - Mosaic Houston

Mosaic is a slightly-smaller-than-medium-sized DJ room connected to neighboring venue, Rocbar. Structurally speaking, they’re part of the same place (once you’re inside RocBar you’re free to wander into Mosaic), but they are two quite different venues.

Mosaic concentrates mostly on allowing its patrons to have a drink while listening to a DJ doing what a DJ does. It has played host to some of the city’s premiere DJing talents, including Sun, Red, Squincy Jones and Brett Koshkin.

One of the neatest features about Mosaic is its huge balcony that overlooks the Theater District (it shares this with RocBar). Mosaic is a trendy lounge more than it’s a bar so, naturally, the average customer is young, professional and looking to hang out more than anything else.

All in all, Mosaic is exactly what it wants to be: a solid nightlife venue that is able to toe the line between upscale and uncomfortable.
