Native Houstonian Chef Marcus Davis jokes that he graduated from the Fifth Ward Culinary School. The brains behind Midtown's comfort food mainstay the breakfast klub spent his childhood surrounded by his culinary heroes—Davis' mother, dad and grandma all knew their way around the kitchen. Fortunately, the trio was quick to impart their foodie flair on the local legend, which he's translated into a much-loved soul food spot know for its signature dishes like Katfish & Grits and Wings and Waffle.
