Conrad Robert Murray was raised by his grandparents in Grenada. He eventually moved to Trinidad and Tobago to be with his mother.
Murray attended Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. He received his degree in 1989.
He completed his residency in 1992 at Loma Linda University Medical Center, Internal Medicine. He completed a fellowship in 1995 at the University of Arizona.
He later opened the Acres Homes Heart and Vascular Institute in Houston, Texas. Acres Homes Heart and Vascular Institute is located at: 509 Tidwell Rd, Ste 130, Houston, TX, 77091.
He has had several breach of contract lawsuits from creditors go against, including one last year where HICA Education Loan Corp was awarded more than $71,000.
According to People.com, “Murray's businesses were hit with more than $400,000 in judgments from unpaid bills and child support obligations.”
Murray was hired by AEG Live, the promoter behind Jackson’s advertised 50-city tour, to serve as Jackson’s personal physician for the duration of the trip. He reportedly would’ve been paid $150,000 a month during his tenure on Jackson’s tour.
Murray first met Jackson in 2008 when he treated one of his children.
Jackson passed away on June 25, 2009.
Murray’s Houston medical office and storage unit were searched by detectives on July 22nd.
