What is CityPass Houston?

Essentially, CityPass is a ticket booklet similar to those large coupon booklets that were fairly popular years ago. By purchasing a CityPass booklet you receive admission to various attractions in and around the Houston area, including actual tickets, need-to-knows to plan your trip, directions, and ideal visiting times. (Also, “CityPass ticket holders also avoid most ticket queues,” which is always good.)

CityPass in Houston

Houston is the first city in Texas to offer the CityPass program. It first debuted in May of 2008 and has since grown in popularity.

Pricing

The Houston CityPass costs $39 for adults (a $63.40 value) and $29 for children ages 4-11 (a $44.70 value).

Houston CityPass Attractions

Once you get your CityPass booklet, you’ll find tickets to Space Center Houston, Downtown Aquarium, Houston Museum of Natural Science, The Houston Zoo, The Health Museum (or George Ranch Historical Park), and the Museum of Fine Arts Houston (or Children's Museum of Houston).

Purchase Houston CityPass here or here.

Bonuses

In addition to admission to the above listed attractions, you’ll also receive “a free appetizer at any of the 33 Houston Landry’s restaurants and VIP shopping offers from The Galleria.”

Anniversary Hotel Package

CityPass celebrated its one year anniversary by announcing hotel packages at eleven Houston hotels, ranging from the swanky Hotel Zaza (starting at $255 per night) to the wallet-friendly Courtyard by Marriot ($129 per night). More information here.
