Candlelight Tours
To get full experience of Yuletide at Bayou Place, a guided Candlelight Tour is a must. On Thursday and Friday nights in December, take a tour of the first floor of the Bayou Bend house and witness it decked in its holiday wares. Outside the house will be plenty of warm cider, live music and twinkling holiday lights.

Yuletide Family Day 2011
Take advantage of this generous offer of free admission to Yuletide 2011. During this afternoon event, bring the kids out to enjoy holiday crafts, cookies, wassail and more. Then bring the whole group inside to tour the Bayou Bend house. And what better way to usher in the holiday season than the sounds of carolers. This is an event you won't want to miss.

Docent and Self-Guided Tours
Docent-guided (usually volunteers) and self-guided tours are a great option for those who have already experienced a formal Candlelight Tour. Browse the first floor holiday-themed rooms as well as the Bayou Bend collection rooms located on the 2nd floor. If you're opting for a docent-guided tour you'll want to be sure to make reservations ahead of time. To reserve, call 713.639.7750. No reservations are required for self-guided tours.

Inside and Outside: A Winter Break Camp for Children
Just in time for the holiday break boredom to set in, Bayou Bend offers a two-day workshop for kids age 7 to 12 years old. On the first day of camp, children will have the opportunity to examine how the holiday season is celebrated across various cultures and regions. The following day, capers will produce nature-based crafts inspired by the gardens of Bayou Bend. These workshops are taught by faculty members of the MFAH Glassell Junior School.
