Celebrate 4th of July in the Woodlands

Most neighborhoods in the Houston area prohibit the personal use of fireworks. But don't let this law cause you to miss out on the fun of an exciting explosive display. Visit the Woodlands for a spectacular fireworks show on the 4th of July.

When:
Wednesday, July 4, 2012
6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Where:
Town Green Park and The Woodlands Town Center
2099 Lake Robbins Dr., 77380
The Woodlands is located 28 miles North of downtown Houston on I-45 .

What:
The Red, Hot and Blue festival begins at Town Green Park and Waterway Square with live music, street performances, games and more. And don't leave without signing up for the infamous watermelon eating contest. At dusk, stroll over to the Woodlands Town Center and experience an extravagant 23-minute fireworks display. This will be simulcast with a musical medley via Sunny 99.1.

How Much:
The Red Hot and Blue festival is FREE and open to the general public.

Other Weekend Festivities:

Saturday, June 30: Break out the chairs and coolers and enjoy live music and traveling performers at Waterway Nights located at Waterway Square in the Woodlands Town Center. This free event is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Sunday, July 1: The Houston Symphony will present a Star Spangled Salute at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. This FREE concert begins at 8 p.m.

Wednesday, July 4: Don your favorite red, white and blue attire and cheer at the annual Fourth of July Parade held at Market Square. Parade begins at 9 a.m.

What to Bring/What Not to Bring:
Blankets and chairs are allowed. Please do not bring coolers, food, beverages, bicycles, skates, skateboards, motorized vehicles, firearms, alcohol or pets.
