1. Children's Museum New Year's Noon Bash (Kid Friendly)

Experience all the excitement of a new year's celebration- a parade, countdown, and ball drop- all before the little ones go down for an afternoon nap. This year's theme is Where the Wild Things are and party-goers will have an opportunity to take part in creating their very own parade float. Doors open at 10 a.m. and the countdown begins at 11:45 a.m. Admission is $5.

2. Downtown Aquarium: Sharkey’s New Year’s Eve (Kid Friendly)

Reservations are required for this swanky celebration. Tickets are $9.99 for children ages 4 to 12, and include a “knee-high” buffet, balloon drop, and three hours of kid-centered music spun by a live DJ. Festivities begin at 2 p.m. and end at 5 p.m.

3. New Year’s Eve in London in Houston (at Wonderwild) (Kid Friendly)

Wonderwild, Houston’s very first artsy, eco-friendly indoor playground is counting down to the New Year London-style (their midnight is our far more kid-appropriate 6 pm). Enjoy complimentary food and drink and live music by award-winning Leah White. Tickets are $15 and activities begin at 4:30 p.m.
