May Events and Festivals
This is a guide to the Houston events and festivals that take place this month. Add these to your calendar of things to do.
Art Car Weekend
One of the events that makes Houston so Houston-y, the Art Car Weekend, highlighted by the Art Car Parade, showcases some of the wildest rides this side of Mad Max. More than a quarter of a million people take this in each year.

Pasadena Strawberry Festival
All things strawberry are celebrated here. And on top of that, you’ll find bar-b-que, a mud volleyball tournament(!) and even more live entertainment. Although, if a plate of bar-b-que and a couple matches of mud volleyball don’t do it for you, I’m not sure anything will.
