Independence Day at Bayou Bend

From fireworks to festivals, Houston offers a plethora of opportunities to celebrate Independence Day. Spend it at Bayou Bend for an afternoon of Americana with an artistic flair.

What:
Colonial America will be brought to life with live performances, crafts, kid-friendly activities and much more. And you won't want to miss the chance to sign a Texas-sized Declaration of Independence.

Activities Include:
Performances of Betsey Ross: American Hero, Sousa Marches, American Jazz and a reading of the Declaration of Independence.

From 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. tour the 1st floor of the house or participate in some children's crafting in the Kilroy Center and on the Diana Lawn.

This event is free and open to the public.
