Screamworld – Screamworld is actually five different haunted houses with one line for one price. Plenty around to scare those age 12 and older from the Maze of Maniacs to the Haunted Hotel with lots of high-tech animatronics. Open Thursdays through Sundays until Halloween beginning at 7:30 p.m. Tickets: $25 general admission, $20 Sunday Family Nights, $18 Student Thursdays. Located at 2225 N. Sam Houston Parkway W, 1.5 miles west of I-45.
Nightmare on the Bayou – This is Houston’s only haunted house that is truly haunted, according to the workers! Well, what do you expect situated right next to Houston’s oldest graveyard near the Heights. Open Fridays through Sundays until Halloween beginning at 7:30 p.m. Tickets: $30 general admission and $25 Sunday Family Night. Nightmare on the Bayou is located at 1515 Studemont next to Party Boy.
Phobia Haunted Houses – Phobia has garnered a reputation as the scariest, most high-tech thrill in the city. This venue offers two different locations for screaming fun! Phobia 290 features six different attractions while the Phobia 45 Mall of the Mainlands features three attractions. Phobia is open weekends in October beginning at 8 p.m. Ticket prices vary based on the number of attractions to see: one ($12), two ($20), three ($30), four ($40), five ($45), and six ($50). Choose your location: 18777 Hwy. 290 near West Road exit or I-45 South near Mall of the Mainlands and the dog track in Texas City.
The Carnage - Voted Top Haunted House by the Houston Chronicle, the Carnage is located at I-10 and Silber in the Marqe Entertainment Center. The production team was featured on CNN and Entertainment Tonight. General admission is $15 and group discounts are available. Hours are Friday and Saturday from 7 p.m. to midnight and Thursday and Sundays from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. begininning September 29. The house is located at 7620 Katy Freeway.
