What to Expect...
New this year is a fun and unique shopping experience to add to the Festival of Lights. Home For The Holidays Gift Market will feature crafts, home decor, fashion accessories and more within the walls of the Moody Gardens Convention Center. Regular tickets to the market are $5 and VIP passes are available for $25. With this pass, shoppers can access the VIP lounge and feast on hors d'oeuvres, wassail, wine and other adult beverages.
The manmade Snow Zone is a kiddie crowd favorite year after year. Given our Houston climate, it will likely be the closest the family will come to frolicking in a blanket of snow for years to come. Purchase tickets to the Snow Zone for $6 (in addition to Festival of Lights regular admission). Children must be 11 years or younger to enter and this attraction only operates on Saturday nights.
A far less rowdy feature of the Festival of Lights is the Imagine Christmas dinner and show. From December 15 through December 27, enjoy a dinner buffet as well as a highly engaging rendition of the Nativity Story. Song, dance and aerial acrobatics will all be incorporated in this family-friendly production. Show begins at 7 p.m. and adult tickets range from $39 to $79. Ticket includes dinner buffet, admission to Festival of Lights, tax and gratuity, and parking. For more information, call 409.683.4186.
Enjoy the Festival of Lights and feel great about doing so by participating in Food Drive Fridays. On these days, bring in a canned good or other nonperishable food item and get two festival regular admissions for the price of one. These items will be donated to the Galveston County Food Bank.
