Easter Brunch, Events and Egg Hunts

Easter in Houston typically means gorgeous weather, Sunday dresses and egg hunts. Several churches, restaurants and community centers in the Houston area will celebrate the holiday with outdoor egg hunts, Sunday brunches and sporting events. This year, Easter will fall on Sunday, April 8.

Where: Friendship Community Bible Church
When: Saturday, April 7, 2012 @ 8 a.m.
What: 5K Walk/Run benefitting ministries for children of the FCBC community. Registration is $20 for adults, $5 for children 12 and under and $1 for children under 1-year-old.The deadline to register is April 18.

Where: Sur la Table
When: Saturday, April 7, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
What: The Easter Cupcake Workshop will give participants a hands-on opportunity to create delectable cupcakes from scratch. Decorating techniques will be taught as well. Registration is $69 per participant.

What: Easter celebration including an Easter Bunny, Easter egg hunt and prizes for the little ones. Egg hunt is divided into 3 age groups ranging from 0 to 12 years old.

What: Volunteer Houston will arrange for volunteer teams to visit and deliver Easter cards to nursing home residents. Volunteers will be divided into teams which will meet at various locations at 9:30 a.m.
