2013 NBA All-Star Weekend

Of all the cities in all the states in America, Houston was chosen to host one of the most exciting sporting events of the year, the annual NBA All-Star. For one weekend, a handful of some of the world's most well-known celebrities and athletes will come together to celebrate NBA basketball in our beloved city. FInd out how to be a part of the excitement below.

When:
NBA All-Star activities begin on Friday, February 15 and end on Sunday, February 17.

Where:
Activities take place at either the Toyota Center, the George R. Brown Convention Center or on various streets in Downtown Houston.

NBA All-Star Jam Sessions (Thursday, February 14-Sunday, February 17):
The Jam Session is day-long playtime for all ages complete with skill challenges, shoot-outs, kid-sized basketball goals for the dunking and chances to grab autographed items from NBA players. This event takes place in the North Building of the George R. Brown Convention Center.

NBA All-Star Celebrity Game (Friday, February 15):
See celebrities and professional basketball players battle it out on the court at 6 p.m. at the George R. Brown Convention Center. This event begins at 6 p.m. Tickets are $50 for seats in the upper bowl and $75 for lower. Admission to the celebrity game includes admission to the Jam Session that follows.

All-Star Fit, Run, Walk and Dribble (Saturday, February 16):
On Saturday at 8 a.m., NBA and WNBA players and mascots will offer cameo appearances at this kid-friendly basketball festival. All ages are welcome.

NBA All-Star Practice (Saturday, February 16):
For those not lucky enough to score tickets to the All-Star Game, the official All-Star Practice is consolation. Practice will begin at 11:15 a.m. at the George R. Brown Convention Center. Be there to get a closer look at your favorite players. Tickets are $50 for upper seating and $75 for lower.

All-Star Saturday Night:
This night is perhaps the most entertaining of the entire All-Star weekend. Veteran and rookie NBA and WNBA players will compete in four events: a shooting contest, an obstacle course (passes, lay-ups and the likes), a three-point contest and of course, the Sprite Slam Dunk competition. These shenanigans begin at 7 p.m. at the Toyota Center. The event will be televised as well.

NBA All-Star Game (Sunday, February 17):
The main event will unfold on Sunday at the Toyota Center. Be there for tip-off at 7 p.m.
