1. The Houston Zombie Walk
Saturday, October 26, 2013
Jones Plaza (Downtown Houston)

Sure, you may have run dozens of 5k's, half-marathons and mud races, but I'm guessing you've never done crossed a finish line dressed in full zombie garb. If you haven't, it's definitely something worth trying at least once. The Zombie Walk will begin at Jones Hall at 5 p.m. and includes photo ops and live performances, continues with the actual 1-mile walk at 6:30, and ends back at Jones Plaza with a free concert and '80's dance party. Be sure to tag along for the after party at the Orbit Room (immediately following the 10 p.m. clearing out of Jones Plaza). A $15 donation is required and proceeds will go to either The Houston Children's Charity, The Houston Humane Society or the Dove Key Ranch Wildlife Rehab.

Montrose District

The Montrose Management District and the Houston Press present the 6th Annual Montrose Crawl this Halloween weekend. Traverse the strip of bars, clubs and restaurants between Dunlavy and Montrose donning your most clever halloween get-up. The evening will kick off with a dinner at Cafe Brasil. From there, the group will hit Poison Girl, Anvil, Boondocks, Catbirds and any other watering hole along the path to Montrose and Westheimer.
