About the Houston Fire Museum
The Houston Fire Museum was originally Fire Station No. 7, the very fist station built under the Houston Fire Department as a fully paid entity. Exhibits include:
Antique Apparatus: collection of automobiles including a 1895 Ahrens Fox horse-drawn steamer, a 1937 Chevrolet pumper and a 1938 REO fire truck.
Watch Office: experience what it was like to receive a fire call in the 1950's
The Locker Room: visual timeline of the fire service industry by means of artifacts, documents and visual art.
