About the Health Museum of Houston
Established in November of 1969 as the Museum of Medical Science in the Museum of Natural Science, the Health Museum aims to increase awareness of the capabilities of the human body and the importance of a healthy lifestyle. Exhibits include :
Amazing Body Pavilion: take a walk through the enormous replica of the human body and get an up-close and magnified view of how various organs and bones function .
You: The Exhibit: age yourself, calculate your life expectancy or scan your internal organs with this innovative exhibit.
McGovern 4D Theater: view a 3D film with the added thrill of such special effects as rain, vibrations, scents and more.
