MLK Jr. Day is on Monday, January 21st. While you have the day off, why not spend that time honoring the life of the man behind the holiday. There are quite a few ways to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr.'s life and life's work throughout the Houston area. Two major parades will take place as well as an electrifying battle-of-the-bands competition and a festival for the little ones.
And if you'd like to introduce your children to the history surrounding MLK Jr., head over to the Children's Museum for their annual MLK Day Peace Rally. Plenty of teachable moments are sure to come from this experience.
