Whether you're looking to carve them, cook them or line your front yard with them, you'll likely find yourself in need of a pumpkin within the next few days. Of course if it's just for your own enjoyment, you could always play it safe and pick up a pumpkin at your local grocery store. But those  of us with kiddos know that the picking of the perfect pumpkin is far more than a 5-minute trip to Kroger - it's an experience.

So pack up the wagon, the camera and the little ones and spend the day at one of these pumpkin patches. There are load of ways to pass hour after entertaining hour at these sites including hay rides, corn mazes, moonwalks and more. Most of the pumpkin patches are open only on weekends so plan accordingly.
