Dunta Robinson, cornerback for the Houston Texans, made a nice little stir this week when he played the first game of the season with "Pay Me Rick" inscribed on the back, but his bad boy status was blown out of the water by Delonte West.
(Rick Smith is GM of the Texans and offered Robinson a paultry $23 million in guaranteed money, sparking the insubordination.)
Delonte West is a basketball player for the Cleveland Cavaliers. He was arrested on weapons charges earlier today. I know, I know, pro athletes getting arrested is nothing new, but the appeal is in the details.
Not only was Delonte West arrested, but he was riding a three wheeled motorcycle at the time. And he was carrying two guns strapped to his persons (one to his wrist, one to his waist). But here's the capper: he was also carrying a loaded shotgun in a guitar case he had slung over his back. Yes, an actual guitar case. He's like Antonio Banderas in Desperado, except with a better jump shot (presumably).
Crazy, right? This is immediately my favorite Arrested Athlete story of all-time. What's yours?

OJ….. that’s everyone’s favorite.
The way that a typical NfL athlete spends their off season according to my fellow OTF writer JD…..

OJ? No way. I mean, he wasn’t even carrying a guitar case, let alone one filled with guns.
