Amid the wash of "Lance cpl. Joshua M. Bernard photo" emails everyone has been sending me today, reader Erik Olvera sent a message that I wanted to pass along because it included two of my favorite things: free food and lying to your brother. Here's the gist (reprinted with his permission):
"Denny's is doing this thing where you get one free [Grand Slam breaksfast] if you purchase one for yourself. It lasts until September 06 I think [note: he's right]. I told my brother I was taking him to breakfast for his birthday. Best birthday present I've ever given him."
