Free Family Stuff: Live Music and Movie Screening at Discovery Green

Discovery Green park (1500 McKinney, 713-400-7336) is hosting an event called "Popcorn Kids - Family Film Fun with Aurora Picture Show" tonight and it looks to be a proper good way to get out of the house with the entire family without hurting the wallet (or purse).

The live music portion of the evening is called "POP STARS: Dads Who Rock" (it's a singer-songwriter coalition made up of four dads) and will begin at 7 p.m. Shortly after that a screening of The Best of Children's Film Festival Seattle 2009 will take place. "The program features award-winning animation, live action and documentary films from seven countries that will make you laugh, tug at your heartstrings, and take you on a sweet ride through a wide world of moving images."
