Thursday (free) To Do: Seasons of Sharing Celebration at Children's Museum
Did you know that there are more than 90 languages spoken in Houston? I am far more ignorant than I had originally assumed, apparently, and that is precisely why I'm loading up the family to head over to the Children's Museums Season of Sharing celebration. Straight from the source:
"Seasons of Sharing, Houston’s only multicultural holiday exhibit for children spotlighting seven cultural celebrations, will represent Diwali, Ramadan, Hanukkah, Las Posadas, Christmas, Kwanzaa and the Lunar New Year. Kids will take delight in a block-long neighborhood of houses where dipa lamps, menorahs, luminarias, Christmas lights, kinaras and the glimmer of the crescent moon will shimmer brightly, lighting the way of the holiday season!"
Normally, admission is between $4 to $6 but it's free on Thursdays (as is admission on every Thursday) after 5 p.m. which is when we'll be up there. In addition to being ignorant, it appears that I am cheap as well. Winner all the way around, I suppose.
