Wednesday To Do: District B-13 Screening at Domy Books

Wednesday November 19, 2008

How's this for a reasonable plot: A deep-cover cop tracks down a neutron bomb that is stolen by a criminal kingpin in a slightly futuristic Paris ghetto. Deep-Cover Cop teams up with another gent because, apparently, in addition to stealing neutron bombs, Criminal Kingpin also dabbles in kidnapping and has since kidnapped the aforementioned gent's sister. If there were a Kumite' in this movie, it'd be dang near perfect. The plot, though, is secondary to the movie's actual appeal: parkour.

Essentially, parkour is a "sport" where guys run around and jump off of various buildings/stairs/anything else that shouldn't be jumped off of. It sounds kinda wack but is actually pretty cool to see. Watch a clip of the movie here and learn a little more about the hipster Domy Books here.
